  • Chris was engaged for a 2 week contract to do a HR Review and report back on her findings

  • Chris spent time with the founders and SLT (in person and remote)

  • Conducted multiple interviews with CEO, SLT & Board

  • Core focus was to understand the key issues and what support (if any was required)

Outcomes

  • Reported back to the Board on strengths and opportunities along with recommendations to hire a part-time HR/People resource (3 options)

  • Culture was strong because Founders care about their people and invest in them

  • Help needed on some areas including: people infrastructure, leadership development and performance management

Learnings

  • Confirmed again that culture starts at the top with caring, invested CEO

  • Establishing trust and connection is crucial for the HR Review to add value

  • Reaffirmed Chris’s belief in great Founders and leaders
